FSIS Beijing import export workshops, in conjunction with USMEF and USAPEEC

To address the challenges and issues, FSIS Beijing would like to work with USMEF and USAPEEC to host a series of workshops for US companies, importers, and clearance agencies in China to keep everyone updated about the latest policies and regulation requirements and hear the concerns from these stakeholders so that FSIS can convey to GACC during the bilateral meetings in the future. During the Phase 1 agreement, FSIS suggested conducting these workshops at or around the following three major points in China: Tianjin, Shanghai and Guangzhou. The proposed draft agenda will include:

Discussion of all FSIS and GACC rules, decrees, regulations and policy;

Discuss current or previous import issues with meat and poultry shipments;

Discuss issues at all China ports;

Followed by Q&A sessions;

Time permitting visits to local wholesale, cold storage warehouses, or wet markets.
